Civil and Criminal Trial Experience

We represent clients in a wide range of civil and criminal litigation in both federal and state courts throughout Massachusetts, with an emphasis on complex litigation. Our civil practice focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, employment discrimination, First Amendment, civil rights, environment, zoning and municipal law and business litigation. Our criminal practice is similarly diverse, ranging from representing clients in first degree murder and white collar cases, to drug related crimes, to operating under the influence.

In addition to civil and criminal litigation, we have a reputation as one of the preeminent divorce and family law practices in Western Massachusetts with a focus on mediation and collaborative divorce.

Wide range of practice

We have approximately 60 reported decisions from the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Appeals Court. We also practice in the U.S District Courts in Connecticut and Vermont.
